About the event
I'm giving away this free introduction to wet pastel techniques. I will demo two ways to use alcohol or water with soft pastels. One method uses values, the other uses color options. See the "Courses" tab for the supply list to this innovative way to take the next step in your art. If you love the difference wet techniques make, Avon will give you an assignment to complete. If you decide to explore the medium for an additional four weeks to learn how soft pastels react with clear gesso, fixatives used as a medium, learn to make impastos and how soft pastels when wetted in special manners can become transparent and semi transparent. Pastels can even behave like watercolors and gouache.
